Chemistry wani reshe ne na ilimin kimiyya da ke nazarin halittun sinadarai (chemical substances), tsarinsu ciki da bai da yadda suke cuɗanya da juna ta hanyoyin sauye-sauye (chemical reactions), da kuma tasirin waɗannan sauye-sauyen ga rayuwa da muhalli.

Ilimin Chemistry na taimakawa wajen fahimtar yadda abubuwa ke wanzuwa da kuma yadda za a canja su don amfanin ɗan’adam. Misali, a Chemistry ne ake koyon yadda za a samar da magunguna, abinci, kayayyakin tsafta, da makamashi ta hanyar nazarin sinadarai.
Chemistry yana da matuƙar muhimmanci wajen fahimtar duniyar da ke kewaye da mu. Yana taimaka mana mu gane tsarin abubuwa, hanyoyin bunƙasa rayuwa, da kula da lafiyar ɗan’adam da muhalli. Wannan fage na ilimin kimiyya shi ne ginshiƙin ko tsanin fahimtar sauran batutuwa, kamar atom, mole, bonding, acid, base, electrolysis, da sauran su.
Fannin Chemistry na gina ƙwaƙwalwa da nazari mai zurfi da ƙwarewar aiki wajen sarrafa sinadarai. Ta hanyar koyon yadda abubuwa ke aiki a matakin atom, da na’urorin da ke sauƙaƙa gwaje-gwaje, ɗalibi zai zama mai fahimta da ƙwarewa wajen amfani da kimiyya don ci gaban kansa da al’umma. - Makamashi: Ana gano hanyoyin samar da wutar lantarki, man fetur, iskar gas, da makamashin nukiliya ta dalilin ilimin Chemistry.
- Muhalli: Ana amfani da sinadarai wajen tsaftar gidaje, adana abinci tare da amfani da sinadarin hanawa ko jinkirta lalacewa, da kuma kula da ruwa da iska.
Ma’anar SI Units
SI Units (Système International d’Unités) su ne ka’idojin auna abubuwa da aka amince da su a duniya gabaɗaya don tabbatar da daidaito da fahimta a tsakanin masana, ɗalibai da masu bincike a fannonin kimiyya. Wannan tsarin ya samo asali ne daga ƙasar Faransa a shekara ta 1960, kuma shi ne tsarin da ake amfani da shi a duniya wajen:
- Auna nauyi ko tsayi ko lokaci ko zafi ko haske ko kuma adadin ƙwayoyin sinadarai da dai sauran su.
- Yin lissafi a Chemistry, Physics, da sauran darusan kimiyya.
- Sarrafa kayayyaki a masana’antu, ayyukan injiniyanci, aikin gona da kiwon lafiya.
Asalin SI Units
SI Unit na dogara ne da ka’idar metric (system of tens), wato ana ƙara ko rage darajar auna abu ta hanyar ninkawa ko raba shi da 10, 100, 1000, da sauran su, wanda hakan ke sauƙaƙe amfani da su wajen lissafi.
SI Units su ne ginshiƙin kowane lissafi da aune-aune a fannin kimiyya, musamman a Chemistry. Su ke kawo daidaito da inganci a tsakanin masu bincike da ɗalibai a duk faɗin duniya. 2. Haɗuwar sinadarai (Chemical Bonding)
Ana koyon yadda ƙwayoyin sinadarai ke haɗuwa ta hanyoyi kamar haka:
- Ionic bond: Canjawa tsakanin ions masu caji.
- Covalent bond: Haɗuwa tsakanin ƙwayoyin sinadaran da ke raba electrons.
- Metallic bond: Haɗuwa da ke tsakanin sinadarin ƙarfe da ƙarfe.
