Wave a Physics yana nufin motsi ko girgizar da ke tunkuɗa energy daga wani wuri zuwa wuri ba tare da motsi na dukkan abubuwan da suke cikin wuri ba. A cikin sassauƙaƙar magana, wave shi ne yadda energy ke tafiya daga wuri guda zuwa wani wuri ba tare da motsi na abu a wuri na gaske ba; abin da ke motsi shi ne energy, ba abu da kansa ba.

Wave yana da wasu siffofi masu mahimmanci a Physics. Daga ciki akwai wavelength, wanda shi ne nisa daga wani point a wave zuwa point mai kama da shi a gaba, frequency, wanda shi ne adadin waves da suka wuce a cikin second guda, amplitude, wanda shi ne girman wave ko ƙarfin energy da yake ɗauke da shi, da speed, wanda shi ne saurin da wave ke watsuwa a cikin wani yanayi.

Rabe-raben waves

A Physics, waves ana rarraba su zuwa manyan rukuni biyu: Mechanical Waves da Electromagnetic Waves. Kowanne rukuni yana da halaye da amfani daban-daban, kuma yana watsa energy ta hanyoyi masu bambanci.

Mechanical waves

Mechanical waves suna bukatar wani abu don tunkuɗa energy. Wannan na nufin cewa energy ba zai iya tafiya ba sai akwai ruwa, iska, ko wani abu mai jiki da zai yi girgiza (vibration). Mechanical waves suna tafiya ta hanyar motsi ko girgizar molecules na medium, amma molecules ɗin kansu ba sa motsi daga wuri ɗaya zuwa wuri ɗaya; suna juyawa ko motsawa ne a kusa da matsugunninsu.

Misalai na mechanical waves

  • Water waves: Lokacin da ka jefa dutse a cikin ruwa, za ka ga waves suna tafiya daga wurin da dutsen ya faɗa zuwa sauran ruwa. Misalai na electromagnetic waves

Wavelength

Amplitude

Speed
