Alayyahu na ɗaya daga cikin fitattun kayan lambu masu ganye da ake nomawa da ci a sassa daban-daban na duniya. Ya shahara saboda yalwar sinadaran gina jiki da yake ɗauke da su, wanda ya sa ya zama muhimmin ɓangare na ingantaccen tsarin abinci. Ana amfani da alayyahu wajen yin miya, da sauran nau’o’in abinci gwargwadon al’ada da yanayin amfani.

Ma’anar alayyahu
Alayyahu kayan lambu ne mai ganye da ake nomawa domin amfani da ganyensa a matsayin abinci. Tsiro ne mai ɗan gajeren tsawo, mai laushin gangar jiki da ganye masu launin kore, waɗanda ke ɗauke da sinadaran gina jiki masu yawa. Ana amfani da ganyensa wajen dafa miya da sauran nau’o’in abinci, kuma ana iya cin wasu nau’o’insa sabuwa ba tare da an dafa su ba.

Alayyahu na daga cikin kayan lambun da ake ba da shawarar a riƙa ci akai-akai saboda yalwar bitamin A, C da K, tare da ma’adanai irin su baƙin ƙarfe (iron), calcium, magnesium da potassium. Asalin samuwar alayyahu
Masana sun yi imanin cewa asalin alayyahu ya fito ne daga yankin tsohuwar ƙasar Farisa (Persia), wadda a yau ta haɗa da mafi yawan ƙasar Iran da wasu yankunan da ke makwabtaka da ita. Daga wannan yanki ne alayyahu ya bazu zuwa ƙasar Sin ta hanyar hanyoyin kasuwanci da aka sani da Silk Road, sannan daga baya ya isa ƙasashen Larabawa da nahiyar Turai.
A tsakanin ƙarni na goma sha ɗaya da na goma sha biyu, alayyahu ya zama sananne a Turai, inda aka fara nomansa a gonaki da lambuna saboda muhimmancinsa a matsayin kayan lambu mai gina jiki. Daga baya ya bazu zuwa nahiyoyin Afirka, Arewaci da Kudancin Amurka, inda ya ci gaba da zama ɗaya daga cikin kayan lambun da ake yawan nomawa da amfani da su.
A yau, ana noman alayyahu a kusan dukkan yankunan duniya masu yanayin sanyi ko matsakaicin zafi, yayin da a yankuna masu zafi, irin su Najeriya, ana nomansa musamman a lokacin sanyi ko a gonakin ban ruwa. Suna da rabe-raben alayyahu kimiyyance
Sunan alayyahu a kimiyyance shi ne Spinacia oleracea. Tsiro ne da ke cikin jinsin Spinacia, wanda ya ƙunshi nau’o’in alayyahu da ake nomawa domin amfani da ganyensu a matsayin abinci. A tsarin rarrabuwar halittu, alayyahu yana cikin masarautar tsirrai (Plantae), sannan yana cikin rukunin tsirrai masu furanni (Magnoliophyta). Haka kuma yana cikin ajin Magnoliopsida, da tsarin Caryophyllales.
Alayyahu yana cikin dangin Amaranthaceae, wanda ya haɗa da wasu kayan lambu da tsirrai masu muhimmanci. Nau’in da aka fi nomawa da amfani da shi a duniya shi ne Spinacia oleracea, wanda aka inganta ta hanyoyi daban-daban domin samar da ganye masu yawa, masu inganci da kuma masu jure sauye-sauyen yanayi da wasu cututtuka.
Siffofin alayyahu
Alayyahu tsiro ne mai ɗan gajeren tsawo, mai laushin gangar jiki da yalwar ganye masu launin kore. Tsiron yakan kai tsayin santimita 20 zuwa 40, gwargwadon nau’in iri da yanayin da aka noma shi. Ana nomansa ne musamman domin ganyensa, waɗanda ke da wadatattun sinadaran gina jiki. Kamar sauran tsirrai, alayyahu yana da tushe, gangar jiki, ganye, furanni da tsaba, waɗanda kowannensu ke taka muhimmiyar rawa wajen rayuwar tsiron.
Jijiyar alayyahu
Alayyahu yana da tushen farko wanda ke shiga cikin ƙasa domin tsotsar ruwa da sinadaran gina jiki. Daga wannan tushen ne wasu ƙananan tushen zaruruwa ke fitowa, waɗanda ke taimakawa wajen ƙara yawan ruwa da sinadaran da tsiron ke sha. Lafiyar tushen na da matuƙar muhimmanci ga girma da ingancin alayyahu.
Gangar jikinsa
Gangar jikin alayyahu gajera ce kuma mai laushi. A farkon girma, gangar jikin ba ta cika fitowa fili ba, domin ganyaye kan fito ne a zagaye daga ƙasan tsiron. Idan alayyahu ya kai matakin fitar da furanni, gangar jikin kan ƙara tsawo domin ɗaukar furannin da tsabarsa.
Ganyensa
Ganyen alayyahu shi ne mafi muhimmancin ɓangaren tsiron, domin shi ne ake amfani da shi a matsayin kayan lambu. Ganyen yana da launin kore mai haske ko kore mai duhu, gwargwadon nau’in iri. Yana iya kasancewa mai santsi ko ɗan murɗe-murɗe, sannan siffarsa kan kasance mai zagaye, mai tsawo ko mai kama da kwai. Ganyen alayyahu na gudanar da aikin samar da abinci ga tsiron ta hanyar amfani da hasken rana, kuma shi ne ke ɗauke da mafi yawan sinadaran gina jikin da ake samu a alayyahu.
Furanninsa
Furannin alayyahu ƙanana ne kuma ba su da launuka masu ɗaukar hankali kamar na wasu tsirrai. Yawanci suna da launin kore mai ɗan haske ko rawaya mai laushi, kuma suna fitowa a saman gangar jiki lokacin da tsiron ya kai matakin balaga. Alayyahu na iya samar da furannin maza da mata a tsiro ɗaya ko kuma a tsirrai daban-daban, gwargwadon nau’in irin da ake nomawa.
Irinsa
Irin alayyahu ƙanana ce, mai tauri kuma yawanci tana da launin ruwan kasa. Ita ce ake amfani da ita wajen shuka sabon tsiro. Bayan furanni sun yi ƙurɗa kuma suka balaga, tsiron kan samar da tsaba masu ɗauke da ƙwayoyin halitta da za su haifar da sabon alayyahu idan aka shuka su a ƙasa mai dacewa. Tsabar alayyahu na iya ci gaba da kasancewa mai kyau na wani lokaci idan aka adana ta a busasshen wuri mai sanyi, ba tare da danshi ba.
Nau’o’in alayyahu
Akwai nau’o’in alayyahu da dama waɗanda suka bambanta ta fuskar siffar ganye, saurin girma, juriyar yanayi da kuma yadda ake amfani da su. Wannan bambancin ya samo asali ne daga nau’o’in alayyahu na halitta da kuma irin da masana suka inganta domin samar da ganye masu inganci da yawan amfanin gona.
Daya daga cikin sanannun nau’o’in shi ne alayyahu mai ganye santsi (smooth-leaf spinach), wanda ke da ganye masu laushi da santsi. Ana yawan amfani da shi wajen yin salak da kuma sarrafa kayan abinci saboda sauƙin wankewa.
Akwai kuma alayyahu mai ganye murɗaɗɗe (savoy spinach), wanda ganyensa ke da lanƙwasa da murɗaɗɗen siffa. Wannan nau’i ya fi jure sufuri da adanawa, kuma ana amfani da shi sosai wajen dafa abinci.
Wani nau’in kuma shi ne semi-savoy spinach, wanda yake da siffofi tsakanin mai ganye santsi da mai ganye murɗaɗɗe. Ganyensa ba ya murɗewa sosai, kuma yana da sauƙin noma da kula, abin da ya sa ya zama sananne a gonakin kasuwanci.

Ana shuka alayyahu ta amfani da tsaba. Ana shuka tsabar kai tsaye a cikin ƙasa a layuka ko ramuka masu tazara, sannan a rufe su da siririn ƙasa. Bayan tsaba sun tsiro, ana iya rage yawan tsirran da suka yi cunkoso domin sauran su samu isasshen sararin girma.
Kula da gona
Alayyahu na buƙatar ban ruwa akai-akai, musamman idan ba a samun ruwan sama. Haka kuma ana cire ciyawa domin rage gasa wajen samun ruwa da sinadaran gina jiki. Ana iya amfani da taki domin ƙarfafa girman ganye da inganta yawan amfanin gona.
Girbi
Alayyahu na daga cikin kayan lambun da ke saurin balaga. Yawanci ana iya fara girbe ganyensa bayan makonni huɗu zuwa takwas da shuka, gwargwadon nau’in iri da yanayin noma. Ana girbe shi ne ta hanyar cire manyan ganye ko kuma sare tsiron gaba ɗaya, gwargwadon yadda ake son amfani da shi.
Adanawa
Sabon alayyahu kan yi saurin lalacewa idan ba a adana shi yadda ya kamata ba. Bayan girbi, ana wanke shi idan ya zama dole, sannan a busar da ruwan da ke jikinsa kafin a adana shi a wuri mai sanyi ko a cikin firiji. Haka kuma, ana iya daskarar da shi ko a busar da shi domin ya daɗe ba tare da ya lalace ba, kodayake hakan na iya rage wasu daga cikin bitamin da ke cikinsa.
Amfanin alayyahu

Duk da ƙarancin kuzarin da yake samarwa (calories), yana ƙunshe da bitamin, ma’adanai, zarra da sinadarai masu kare ƙwayoyin halitta. Wannan ne ya sa masana abinci da lafiya ke ba da shawarar a haɗa shi cikin ingantaccen tsarin abinci.
Bitamin
Alayyahu na ƙunshe da bitamin masu muhimmanci da dama. Daga cikinsu akwai bitamin A, wanda ke taimakawa lafiyar ido, fata da garkuwar jiki. Haka kuma yana ɗauke da bitamin C, wanda ke taimakawa ƙarfafa garkuwar jiki da kare ƙwayoyin halitta daga lalacewa. Bugu da ƙari, alayyahu na da yalwar bitamin K, wanda ke da muhimmanci wajen daskarewar jini da ƙarfafa ƙasusuwa. Yana kuma ƙunshe da folate (bitamin B9) da wasu bitamin na rukunin B, waɗanda ke taimakawa wajen samar da sababbin ƙwayoyin halitta da sauya abinci zuwa kuzari.

Minerals
Alayyahu na ɗauke da minerals masu muhimmanci ga lafiyar jiki. Daga cikinsu akwai baƙin ƙarfe (iron), wanda ke taimakawa wajen samar da haemoglobin da ɗaukar iskar oxygen a cikin jini. Haka kuma yana ƙunshe da calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, manganese da copper. Waɗannan ma’adanai suna taimakawa wajen ƙarfafa ƙasusuwa, daidaita aikin tsoka da jijiyoyi, da kuma tallafa wa ayyukan gabobin jiki.
Sinadarai masu kare ƙwayoyin halitta
Alayyahu na ƙunshe da sinadarai masu kare ƙwayoyin halitta (antioxidants) kamar lutein, zeaxanthin, beta-carotene, chlorophyll da flavonoids. Waɗannan sinadarai suna taimakawa wajen rage illar sinadarai masu cutarwa (free radicals) a cikin jiki, tare da tallafa wa lafiyar ido da sauran gabobin jiki.
Fiber
Alayyahu na da wadatacciyar fiber, wadda ke taimakawa wajen inganta narkewar abinci da motsin hanji. Haka kuma zarra na taimakawa wajen ƙosar da mutum na dogon lokaci, wanda zai iya taimakawa wajen kula da nauyin jiki idan ana bin ingantaccen tsarin abinci.
