Zoɓo, wanda ake kira da (Hibiscus sabdariffa) a harshen kimiyya, wata shuka ce daga cikin shukoki dangin Malvaceae wadda aka fi amfani da furenta wajen yin abin sha. Ana kuma kiran ta da roselle, red sorrel ko karkadé a wasu ƙasashe. A Najeriya da wasu ƙasashen Afirka, musamman a yankunan da ake da yanayi mai zafi, zoɓo ya zama ɗaya daga cikin muhimman amfanin gona da ke da amfani wajen abinci, lafiya, da tattalin arziki.

Asali da yaɗuwar zoɓo
Zoɓo ya samo asali ne daga yankin Afirka ta Tsakiya, musamman a ƙasashen Sudan, Chadi da Mali, inda ake noman shi tun shekaru da yawa. A hankali kuma shukar ta cigaba da yaɗuwa zuwa ƙasashen arewacin Afirka, Asiya, har ma da yankunan Caribbean. Zoɓo ya zama gama-gari a wurare da dama a duniya, ciki har da Ghana, Senegal, Sudan, India, Thailand, da Mexico.

Babban amfanin zoɓo shi ne wajen yin abin sha mai sanyi da kuma shayi. Ana tafasa furensa a ruwa, a tace, sannan a ƙara kayan ƙamshi kamar citta, kanunfari, zabibi ko lemun tsami. Haka nan ana amfani da shi wajen yin jams, jeli, lemun zaƙi, da kayan marmari da kuma miya a wasu al’adu. A ƙasashen kamar Masar, Sudan, da Saudiyya, ana shan zoɓo a lokutan bukukuwa da azumi saboda tasirinsa mai sanyaya jiki da rage ƙishirwa.
Zobo a matsayin magani
Zoɓo na ɗaya daga cikin tsirran da ke da matuƙar amfani ga lafiya. Don kuwa yana taimaka wa jikin ɗan Adam ta hanyoyi da dama, musamman wajen:

- Rage ƙiba da narkewar abinci: Zoɓo na taimakawa wajen narkar da abinci da rage kitse a jiki.
- Rage kumburi: Zobo na ɗauke da sinadaran da ke hana yaɗuwar ƙwayoyin cuta da kuma rage kumburi (anti-inflammatory).
Tasirin zobo ga tattalin arziki
Zobo na taka muhimmiyar rawa a fannin tattalin arzikin ƙasa, musamman a yankunan arewacin Najeriya. Ana fitar da dubban ton na zoɓo zuwa ƙasashen waje kamar Saudiyya, Sudan, Mexico, da Jamus. Mata da matasa da dama suna samun aikin yi ta hanyar sana’ar sayar da zoɓo. A kasuwannin Kano, Katsina, da Kaduna, kasuwancin zoɓo na samar da miliyoyin naira a duk shekara.
